It's crazy statements like these that get the more excitable and weaker-minded among us whipped into a frenzy of agitation. Is it any wonder that we don't talk to each other? End the partisanship.
"To me it was more about eight years of bad policy before (Obama) got there that let this happen. It was Dracula running the blood bank in terms of oil and leases." - Jimmy Buffet (speaking about the recent BP spill)
"Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele was absolutely right. Afghanistan is Obama's war and, judging by other recent Democratic ventures in military affairs, isn't likely to turn out well.
It has been idiotically claimed that Steele's statement about Afghanistan being Obama's war is "inaccurate" -- as if Steele is unaware Bush invaded Afghanistan soon after 9/11. (No one can forget that -- even liberals pretended to support that war for three whole weeks.)" - Ann Coulter
Come on. Did liberals only pretend to support the Afghan war? Only they can know. Liars they may be, but openly accusing them of lying effectively shuts down any chance at communication or negotiation. Without any tangible proof to back up that statement, it will only make conservatives look silly to repeat you, Ms. Coulter. I expect you actually want conservatives to win elections, not throw them away. Come on.
Mr. Buffet, seriously? Dracula? Could this spill really have been prevented by harsher regulation? I hardly think anyone wanted this (BP included - look at all the money they're losing). At any rate, how does Bush's oversight in any way excuse Obama's current behavior? Even you have to admit this is a pretty incompetent clean-up job. Seriously.
